Andrew Yang Forecasts Americans ‘Won’t Own Our Cars’ in the Future

‘These business models are going to change a lot’

EXCERPT:

YANG: "Well, this is a challenge that companies in every industry face at various points. I mean, you can see companies that are investing in products they know they're going to displace them. So will these companies manage to evolve with the times? I hope so. I do. And they are among the best situated to make some of the investments that we need for the future. Do I think that there are going to be burning fossil fuels and gas stations in the same way we do now in 2050? I really hope we do not, I hope that that's a charging station. I hope that you only have to use it every so often, and that we're in clean cars. We may not even own our cars at that point. I mean these business models are going to change a lot, and as a country we cannot get stuck saying that, 'Well this is the way it is now so we have to stick with it.' We have to get with the program and move towards the future."
