Hillary Clinton promised Monday night that as president, she'll follow Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's lead and name women to half of her cabinet posts.
"Canada has a new prime minister," Rachel Maddow began during her townhall with Clinton. "He promised when he took office that he would have a cabinet that was 50% women and then he did it. He made good on his promise. Would you make that same pledge?"
"I am going to have a cabinet that looks like America and 50 percent of America is women," Clinton replied.
"So that’s a yes?" Maddow followed up.
Clinton then nodded her head, albeit uncertainly.
