Hillary Clinton said Donald Trump attacking her "qualifications" for the presidency ass a familiar sexist attack. She appeared today on MSNBC with Andrea Mitchell:
RUSH TRANSCRIPT:
CLINTON: “...and I feel confident about that.”
MITCHELL: “I see a change election and people are talking about wanting a change and don’t want the establishment. Donald Trump is out saying if you were a man, you only have 5 percent of the support that you have, that you only have the support because you are a woman. Think about that.”
CLINTON: “He should take a look at the numbers. I am leading him by millions of votes. If we are talking about the contest between him and me before we get to the general election, I feel pretty good about it. But, what he was saying and going after my qualifications is very familiar to a lot of women. You know we are not going to be pounded out anymore and we are going to stand up and express our opinions and claim what is rightfully ours in the workplace and in our society and in our economy and our political systems, I have been thrilled by the response to his negative comments. Most women see it and it is not just about me, they see it about themselves and their own situations. There is been an out pouring of support. We raised millions of dollars and we came up with the idea of woman card which does not give you a discount even though we don’t get equal pay of the work we do.”
