CNN Forced to Flee NYC Studio After Suspicious Package Recovered

A fire alarm went off mid-segment, forcing an early commercial break
By Grabien Staff

CNN is reporting that a suspicious device was recovered at Time Warner Center in New York, forcing CNN’s staff out of its studio. The network is now reporting from it’s Washington, D.C., studio.

During an interview on “CNN Newsroom,” a fire alarm went off in the studio, startling anchors Jim Sciutto and Poppy Harlow. The hosts cut their interview early and went to commercial.

CNN reported after the break that the package was recovered in the mail room, and that NYPD and New York Fire Department is on scene.

The suspicious package comes on the same day the U.S. Secret Service reported it had intercepted two explosive devices addressed to former President Barack Obama and Bill and Hillary Clinton. Yesterday, a similar package was discovered on the property of liberal financier, George Soros. Overall, five suspicious packages have been recovered thus far this week.

CNN’s Harlow called into the D.C. studio, reporting that the NYPD is moving their employees blocks away from the building.
