Cotton: Pelosi’s ‘Frustrated’ She Couldn’t Get Her ‘Ideological Wish List’ into Coronavirus Bill

‘We didn’t do it this time, we won’t do it next time’

EXCERPT:

COTTON: “We also aided small businesses to try to help them keep their employees on payroll during the peak of this crisis, and finally we will ensure that we are going to support our financial markets. So businesses of all sizes, whether they're one person or 100,000 people can continue to thrive. Those are very important measures. We ought to see how those measures help our economy survive. I can tell you, if it goes longer than expected, if we need to support the stressed families or our doctors and our nurses, we’re going to do that. But Nancy Pelosi is frustrated in part because she couldn’t get some of her most ideological wish list items into this bill. Things like raising sex quotas for business employment or other matters. We didn’t do it this time. We're not going to do it next time. We'll see how this package works, but if necessary, we will be there to support our doctors and our nurses and our families."
