EXCERPT:
ANDERSON: “Thank you, David, for letting me speak about our resolution. It’s a resolution we’ve passed. We are concerned about numerous states that have asked to discontinue sales of petroleum-powered — they’re not just gas, they’re diesel also vehicles, in their state, by 2035. We want to show support for our basic Wyoming industries, gas, oil, and the extraction and processing of those products. These have been viable industries in Wyoming for a century. These industries have created countless good-paying jobs for Wyoming residents. Wyoming’s vast stretches of highways with the lack of charging stations makes an electric vehicle impractical for the state.”
