RUSH TRANSCRIPT:
REPORTER: "The clarification then is why were those sirens triggered when you guys were already issues a correction that it was a false alarm?" MIYAGI: "We have to check on that. That’s why we do the monthly check. The drill that was done this morning was only for the emergency alert system, which the TV, radio, and wireless emergency alert system which are the cell phones." REPORTER: "Are the real alerts supposed to work where you get the notification and are the sirens supposed to go after that?" MIYAGI: "That is correct. Because this is an internal test or drill, we don’t want the sirens to go off publicly." REPORTER: "Why did the sirens go off?" MIYAGI: "We have to review that. Again, it is an internal drill so the sirens are not supposed to go off outside."
