CNN contributor Marc Lamont Hill says President Trump's call to "make America great again" is actually code for "white nationalism."
The CNN contributor made the bold accusation during an interview Monday night on "Out Front with Erin Burnett."
"When you say ‘Make America great again’ and you conjure up colonial nostalgia," Hill said, "you conjure up moments in history where black people and brown people ... and Jewish people are disenfranchised and marginalized.”
Minorities, Hill continued, "hear 'white nationalism' when you say you’re going to build a wall across the border. We hear white nationalism when you, as President Trump, have never articulated an agenda that is in the interest of the vulnerable, the black, the brown, the poor, the Jewish."

GUEST: “Who conjured that? That’s something that you painted on that. That’s low-thinking people. That’s low-thinking people that hear white nationalism —”
HILL: “We hear white nationalism when white nationalists are resonating with your message. We hear white nationalism when David Duke says, ‘We’re going to fulfill the agenda of President Trump.’ We hear white nationalism when you have a message that says, ‘Muslims are bad.’ We hear white nationalism when you say Judge Curiel cannot be objective because he’s Mexican. We hear white nationalism when you say you’re going to build a wall across the border. We hear white nationalism when you, as President Trump, have never articulated an agenda that is in the interest of the vulnerable, the black, the brown, the poor, the Jewish, etc. This is the reason why we hear it.
