M. OBAMA: "When I tell my story as the First Lady, I don't start with my degrees from Harvard and Princeton. I grew up in a working class community. My mother is a huge source of inspiration for me. She didn't go to university. But she has in her this basic common sense and humor and deep love and a fierceness in her that made me think I could do anything. My father, he worked hard. He had a shift job. And it's because of my parents that I always think every day how am I making them proud. That's what keeps me motivated because I owe that to them."
