Morning Joe’s audible groans revealed deep disgust with South Carolina Senator and former Presidential hopeful Tim Scott and what they clearly saw as his naked fealty to former President Donald Trump.
Scott represents the Palmetto State in the U.S. Senate only because then-former Governor Nikki Haley appointed him to the seat. Despite that, Scott endorsed the 45th president in the Republican race for the nomination and was embarrassingly called out in Trump’s victory speech following his win in the New Hampshire primary Tuesday night.
