Speaking in Havana this morning, President Obama took a moment to boast of expanding health coverage and addressing "the inequality of so much wealth at the top of our society."
Obama said his administration was able to achieve these things through democracy.
"There's still enormous problems in our society," Obama said of America. "But democracy is the way that we solve them. That's how we got health care for more of our people. That's how we made enormous gains in women's rights and gay rights."
Obama also praised America's union-friendly regulations: "Workers can organize and ordinary people have a voice. American democracy has given people the opportunity to pursue their dreams and enjoy a high standards of living."
