Obama: We’re the First Admin in Modern History ‘that Hasn’t Had a Major Scandal’

‘In that sense, we changed’ Washington
By Grabien Staff

President Obama is once again insisting he's leaving office without any scandals.

In an interview airing Sunday on "60 Minutes," the outgoing president told Steve Kroft that "I’m proud of the fact that, with two weeks to go, we’re part of the first administration in modern history that hasn’t had a major scandal in the White House."

The comment came as Kroft said Obama failed to change Washington.

Obama insisted he had "changed those things that were in direct -- in my direct control" and then said his apparent lack of scandals shows that "in that sense, we changed some things."

Obama then pivoted to criticizing Republicans for not helping him pass legislation they supported before he became president -- although he didn't specify what bills he was referring to.

To help readers determine for themselves how scandal-free Obama's time in office was, we at Grabien recently published, "The Complete Collection: Obama's Scandals, Gaffes, and Power-Grabs," which currently lists more than 730 blemishes on his record.
