Peter King: ‘I Have Real Doubts’ About Comey’s Memo of Meeting with Trump

‘McCabe, the acting Director, Comey’s deputy director; he apparently had no knowledge of this either’
By Grabien Staff

MacCALLUM: "It is not happened in my experience, he said. What do you think?"
KING: "I think that raises very, very real questions about any attempt by the president to try to influence Jim Comey as far as the investigation. Also, McCabe, the acting Director, Comey’s deputy director. He apparently had no knowledge of this either. He was asked, has anyone tried to interfere with a rush investigation, absolutely not. To me, if this was so important to Jim coming at the time, he thought that he was being pressured by the president of United States, enough to write a memo, you would have thought he would have told somebody at the FBI, that he had an obligation, according to the justice Department. When he was questioned at the may 3rd instance, he certainly wouldn’t have said it is unprecedented, it’s never happened, that he was asked to tone down an investigation. I have real doubts about the whole memo."
