SALBI: "Talk about taxes, because it has a role with the new Green Deal, which does have Medicare-for-all, again, how do you propose doing that on a very practical level? Because some of these critics are coming from the Democratic Party itself, you know, not only from the Republican Party."
OMAR: "So there are a few things that we can do. One of them is that we could increase the taxes that people are paying who are the extremely wealthy in in our communities, so 70 percent, 80 percent, we've had it as high as 90 percent. I'm also one that really looks at the defense budget that we have. That has increased nearly 50 percent since 9/1. And so most of the money that we have in there is much more than we spend on education, on health care."
