And to the extent, DeSantis is painting himself into this far-right corner again and again, it is already causing Republicans who are focused on electability to question whether he would be any better position than Trump to win back the voters in suburban Philadelphia or Detroit or Atlanta that have hurt the GOP so much in the last few elections. He has got to choose a path. I think there’s a fundamental contradiction in the way he’s approaching it so far."
