The California senator was eventually rebuked by the committee chairman for her behavior

Sen. Kamala Harris, whom is quickly becoming a fan favorite among the anti-Trump left, seemed relish her opportunity to badger Attorney General Sessions during a Senate Intelligence Committee oversight hearing Tuesday.

The California senator repeatedly cut Sessions off before he could complete an answer, which eventually led to her being rebuked by the committee chairman.

Sessions himself objected to her repeatedly cutting him off, saying that by preventing him from qualifying an answer.

"If I don't quality, you will accuse me of lying," he complained. "It makes me nervous."

Harris began by asking if Sessions reviewed any notes before the hearing; when he said he did prepare for the meeting, Harris immediately asked him to turn over his notes.

When Sessions said he would need to check the department's policy, Harris complained, claiming he had a "legal" obligation to produce "calendars, records, notes, emails," and anything else "in writing" related to his preparation for the hearing.

"I’ll commit to reviewing the rules of the department and as and when issue is raised to respond appropriately," Sessions replied.

While Sessions was able to speak, Harris frequently rolled her eyes, making her distaste for the attorney general as evident as possible.

Her performance drew jeers online, and some praise from Trump's critics.

"Senator @KamalaHarris wins the award for Rudest Inquisitor of Attorney General @jeffsessions," pollster Frank Luntz tweeted.

"@KamalaHarris pressed Attorney General Jeff Sessions and held the Trump administration accountable!" tweeted the liberal abortion rights group, Emily's List.
