U.S. Surgeon General: ‘There Is Good News’ on Testing in America

ADAMS: “There is, in fact, good news, we have turned the corner on testing. We have now done more testing in the last 8 days than Korea has done in 8 weeks. So that will give us more and better information. And, also, we see that China is now starting to reopen. We see that cases in Italy, deaths in Italy are starting to come down. We don’t want to count our chickens before they hatch because we want to make sure that trend continues. But that gives us hope that if we lean into these mitigation efforts for the next several days, the way the President has said, and if people take the right measures, that we can be reopening again sooner than what we thought.”
