Beto O’Rourke: Dems in D.C. Are Not Taking Voter Suppression Bills Seriously

‘But I can’t just worry about that or complain about that’
By Grabien Staff

EXCERPT:

O'ROURKE: "Absolutely not. But I can’t just worry about that or complain about that. I have to do my part to push them. And that’s why we’re traveling the counties in Texas, red counties and blue, urban and rural, bringing people out. We want to give President Biden the power to do the right thing.  This could not be more critical, because if we fail, if we fail this summer, we may not get democracy back. Because you’re right, Mehdi. These voter suppression bills will roll forward in a special session in Texas. They’ll happen in the other more than 40 states that are considering them. And what Abraham Lincoln called the last best hope of Earth will perish from the planet. It’s that serious. That’s why we’ve got to do all we can with all we’ve got where we are. That describes us here in Texas."
