REPORTER: “We want to start with some breaking news just into the WCCO newsroom. The federal inmate who stabbed former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin in an Arizona prison is now charged with attempted murder. Chauvin is serving time for the murder of George Floyd. Federal prosecutors say John Turscak stabbed him 22 times while they were in the prison’s law library. He told correction officers he would have killed Chauvin if they didn’t respond so quickly.”
