ROSENBERG: “So, you know, the language is a little bit misleading and perhaps purposely so. I’ll give you another example. The President talks about being exonerated. In criminal trials in the United States, if somebody is acquitted, it’s not because the jury has found them to be innocent. There’s no finding of exoneration. There’s simply a finding of either guilty or not guilty, meaning the prosecution didn’t meet its burden of proof. So the way we talk about this is I think a little bit off. Folks have to keep in mind that there is no exoneration if the President is not removed from office."
