Colbert: If the ‘Doomsday Glacier’ Melts, It’d Sink South Florida Along with Our Nation’s Top Secret Files

‘Oh, no! Not southern Florida’

EXCERPT:

COLBERT: “More than three to ten feet? So... Four to 11 feet, one imagines. Turns out, “Doomsday” is just a fun nickname. It’s officially called the Thwaites Glacier. As in, “Just thwait a couple of years, and we’ll all be thwimming off the coast of Kanthas.” We’ve actually known for some time now, right, Thomas—  (applause) Thank you. Barthelona. We’ve actually known how bad this could get for a while now. Here’s how Bill Nye explained it at the end of last year:”
NYE [clip]: “This would be catastrophic. A place like Florida, southern Florida, would be under water.”
COLBERT: “Oh, no! Not southern Florida. That’s where we keep our top secret files!”
