PLOUFFE: "I’m generally not one that cares about what might have happened in a campaign 8 years ago and how it relates to people casting votes today. So all I care about, are you doing things that will increase your ability to get people to vote for you? And again, I think particularly the wider world has changed. For instance, you know, vice president was on 'Saturday Night Live' Saturday night. The most important thing about that to me is TikTok that she and Maya Rudolph did afterwards, I think it's over 30 million views. So there are people on Instagram, on YouTube, on TikTok seeing clips, maybe not the whole speech, and that might say, 'I’ll vote now or I'll remind them to vote.' So, we are just trying to capture energy. You know, I can be superstitious around things like debates and things, but in terms of something like this, no, we are closing strong in a very important state. But as John said, it’s very important that we have multiple pathways to 270. You know, just a couple hours ago, reviewing all the early vote data where we’re projecting for election day, how we think undecideds are breaking, we have a credible pathway to all seven states tomorrow night to go into Kamala Harris’ column. But we believe they're all going to be close."
