That seems to be just a political message to try to make people believe that they care about costs or it’s a message to the market, but there’s no deal. So I’m not taking any of this seriously until there’s actually signatures on a paper. My position is pretty clear. This war needs to end. I’m a little agnostic as to what the terms of the deal are, because every day that this war goes on, it is making America even more humiliated in the world. It is making Iran stronger, and it is destroying our economy and people’s lives. He made an enormous mistake to get into this war, and he should just get out of it. But if this deal is real, then let’s just be clear about what’s happening here. We are literally paying Iran billions of dollars to back to exactly where we were before the war, except for the fact that Iran will have now more leverage and more power going forward when we try to sit down with them and negotiate other things, like an end to their nuclear program.”
