New York City Mayor Eric Adams doubled down on his suggestion that he is being unfairly targeted by the federal government on Thursday, just minutes after the five count indictment against him for crimes allegedly committed in furtherance of a campaign finance and foreign influence scheme was released.
At a press conference held by the mayor shortly after the specific charges against him were made public, Adams was asked about he believes is targeting him over his criticism of the federal government’s handling of the border and migrant crises over the last few years.
