Arsonists and black lives matter torched trailers and vandalized many businesses in the area, breaking windows and spray-painting graffiti, when police responded they got the upper hand, making 45 arrests and using the cod control tools like pepper spray, had been taken away by the city council but late Friday night a federal judge in Seattle blocked that law from going into effect. A police officer told me this morning that having those tools probably saved the east precinct and as you mentioned 11 — 21 officers injured yesterday.”
