HOFF: “Neil, this was a frightening incident that played out at Los Angeles Theatre where Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was speaking yesterday afternoon. Police say that there was a suspect there. He was posing as an officer, as part of the detail, the security detail for RFK Jr. They say the suspect didn’t make any threats, but he was also impersonating a U.S. marshal. Even more frightening, when you think about it, this theatre is located just two miles from where Kennedy’s father, Senator Bobby Kennedy, was assassinated in 1968. So, on X, RFK Jr. expressed his gratitude to his private security and the LAPD for rapidly detaining the suspect. He was armed and loaded with pistols, he had spare ammunition on him. And RFK here added: ‘I am still entertaining a hope that President Biden will allow me Secret Service protection. I am the first presidential candidate in history to whom the White House has denied a request for protection.’”
