BALLASY: “They could have ended this shutdown back in September, after you guys passed the CR.”

BALLASY: “Do you think it was intentional on the part of the Democrats to drag this thing out?”
GIMENEZ: “Of course, yeah. They thought they got political gain out of it. Yeah, absolutely, 100 percent. Yeah.”
BALLASY: “And so --”
GIMENEZ: “Obviously, or else they wouldn't shut it down. If they didn't think that they were gaining politically, they would have opened up a long time ago. This has got nothing to do with anything that has happened. This is just a political game, that's all it is.”
