Harmeet Dhillon: It’s Not Ronna McDaniel’s Fault for the Crisis in Confidence in the RNC But We Need to Make Changes

‘She is a patriot’

DHILLON: “Now, I don’t see this as a referendum on Ronna. I think she's a good person, she is a patriot, she's done her best over the last six years, but she did say she would serve six years and now that she's seeking another term what I’m hearing from the voters, candidates and donors is that there is a crisis in confidence in the RNC. That is no one person’s fault, but it's a fact. So I think in order to regain the confidence and that trust we’re going to need to make some changes at the RNC with a laser focus on efficiency, on modernizing, on improving our messaging to be more proactive, on making sure that we're using all methods to chase pallets and get them back to the ballot box even as we fight loose election rules in the states, that we play a role in making sure that we recruit and train the best candidates. We are poised to win in 2024. After three successive election cycles and two runoffs where we did not succeed, I think that if we do the same thing as we’ve done the last six years, we are not going to have confidence in the 2024 victory. You know,  Steve, this isn’t just about a party winning or not. This is about the future of our country. Our country is suffering. Democrats have absolutely destroyed this country, and I as American didn't see another member stepping up, so I’m poised to step aside from my law practice and my nonprofit work for a couple of years and take on this challenge. I think I'm up to it and I’ve been overwhelmed with support from elected officials at the federal and state level, voters and donors, so it's been really exciting to talk to people over the last few days."
