Hillary Clinton taped a message Tuesday urging Americans to run for office and become a spokesman … “for your dog and cat.”
The bizarre pitch was filmed for “Run for Office Day,” a campaign being run by the progressive activist group, Run for Something, which is sponsored by Planned Parenthood, ActBlue, Everytown for Gun Safety, and other liberal organizations.
"Hey, this is Hillary Clinton coming to you on a very important day,” Clinton said in the odd video. “Last Tuesday, on Election Day, you voted, you got your sticker, you posted it on your Instagram and you felt great about doing your civic duty. But today is National Run for Office Day and I'm here to ask you to think about running for office.”
“There's no better way to make an impact,” she continued. “Be the voice for your neighbors, your family, your kids, even your dog or your cat. And take it from me, it's not always easy, but it's always worth it.”
The campaign also features pitches from Cory Booker, Elizabeth Warren, Valerie Jarrett, and Cecile Richards.
