She said, basically, it wasn’t her job to do, and she was redefining the role of the intelligence community leadership throughout when she said that it wasn’t her place to assess imminent threat, that that’s the responsibility of the president. No, it’s the responsibility of the leadership of the intelligence community, the director of CIA, the DNI, to be able to share with the president when there is an imminent threat based on the intelligence and analysis that is within the community. So, again, Tulsi Gabbard was just trying to avoid any type of statement that was going to irritate Donald Trump. And again, she’s dumbing down sort of the role of the intelligence community leadership.”
