We are investing in our public and mental and behavioral health care services, but we’re also making sure that there are real economic opportunities for families to earn a decent living here. Look, this is my main goal as mayor of the city of Chicago is to build the safest, most affordable big city in America. And we’re doing that. And the fact that, you know, this president’s actions have demonstrated an incredible deal of hostility towards what’s sensible about the evolution of our democracy. It’s why, as a country, we have to collectively fight back. Working people are struggling all over this country, and this is the time for our generation to actually beat back the tyranny of Trump."
