Matt Whitlock: Spencer Pratt’s Simple Message Is ‘We Shouldn’t Have to Live Like This’

‘And nobody can really explain what Bass’ affirmative campaign for herself is’

WHITLOCK: "And the surge has come in these last couple of weeks. And I think that‘s what‘s Pratt — that is what Pratt is really focused on, is the fact that his surge has come at the right time. Will it be enough in a general remains to be seen. Right now, what Pratt needs to do is show that he‘s got a serious ground game that can compete with what Bass already has, which is formidable. The challenge for Bass is the fact that she‘s looking at these results and seeing 65% of Los Angeles voted against her. So Pratt does have energy because he‘s got a simple message of 'We shouldn‘t have to live like this.' And nobody can really explain what Bass' affirmative campaign for herself is. Is it 'I promise not to go to Ghana this time if there‘s another set of wildfires?' 'I promise if you give me another chance, I‘ll deal with the homelessness and drugs problems that have actually gotten worse under my leadership for the last four years?' It's a tough argument to try and make to people."
