Retired FBI Profiler: Forensics Played a ‘Big Role’ in Idaho Murders Arrest

‘I think there would have to be something even more significant than just the car’
By Grabien Staff

EXCERPT:

O’TOOLE: “My sense right now is that forensics played a big role in this. For the FBI to make an arrest, on these charges, they had to have something that was very compelling and significant. And in a case like this, it would be forensics and probably DNA. And as you reported over and over again, this crime scene had a lot of forensic evidence that was left at the scene. And part of that would have been blood evidence. And it had to be more than hairs and fibers. It had to be something significant. So, my sense is right now, I could be wrong, but my sense is it’s going to be DNA evidence.”
