EXCERPT:
ZEOLI: "Well, I don't think it's both sides, actually. I think that the — look, I’ve been talking about Joe Biden's cognitive issues, which is the same thing that David Axelrod has been talking about and James Carville has been talking about, and Jon Stewart has been talking about. They've been calling Trump Hitler, they've been saying Trump is going to destroy democracy and democracy as we know it, and maybe the world too. That's way different than saying Joe Biden should retire. And I think that to say that both sides have to tone down the rhetoric is just true. I'm sorry, but the left has engaged in some very hateful rhetoric in the past few months. Now, again, look, I'm not saying the rhetoric is what led to this shooter to shoot. This shooter is probably crazy and no question, if something is going to trigger him, okay. But if we will play this 'Both sides have to tone it down' rhetoric, there are serious questions about Joe Biden going forward. But the names that Donald Trump has been subjected to, the character assassination that he’s been subjected to, to compare him to the worst possible dictators in history, there are people who may think, 'I'm saving democracy if I take this man out.' So, yeah, the left needs to tone down their rhetoric, absolutely they do.”
