SCARAMUCCI: “I agree with him. I think it’s sort of the Josh Hawleys, the Ted Cruzes, and the DeSantises are taking Trump’s playbook. They’ve got the bellicosity of his rhetoric, but they also have the brains to follow through on a lot of things. One of the things that the United States benefited from was the president’s lack of executive management skills. Otherwise the January 6 insurrection, the outcome of that would’ve been way worse. Ultimately, the president has laxity when it comes to stuff like that. Ron DeSantis does not, Josh Hawley does not. So these guys are smarter than Donald Trump and more dangerous than him. And that’s why they have to — we have to put them out to pasture. And I do believe there’s a young group of leaders in the Republican Party that are going to rise and, just like Barack Obama 15 years ago, there will be somebody out there that I think people will recognize and galvanize towards.”
