Scarborough: Kilmar Abrego Garcia Case Doesn’t Seem Like a Fight the Trump Admin Should Have Picked

‘Again, the government admitted they made a mistake’

EXCERPT:

SCARBOROUGH: “And obviously, they didn’t appeal that because the so-called evidence said he was a gang member, I think somebody — informant said he was a gang member in an area where he had never been before in his life. You know, the case just sort of fell apart. He was released. He was given special status, protection. He became a union member. We heard a union leader yesterday banging his fist on a podium saying, ‘Bring our brother home.’ So yeah, just a — I guess just a very interesting case. As I’ve said before, kind of like that SignalGate issue where they should have just admitted up front they made a mistake, moved on, and it wouldn’t have caused the damage that apparently this is continuing to cause. I know a lot of people in the White House think this is something they want to talk about every day. It’s not when you have people like Joe Rogan and when you have right-wing publications like The National Review, when you have Murdoch’s Wall Street Journal editorial page continually saying he should not have been deported. This is — there are a lot of political fights they could pick. This, though, just doesn’t seem to be one, no matter how much they try to spin it.”
