THUNE: “Well, I mean, I think that — and those are — I think Homan going out there is addressing that. And I’ve heard from him. I think everybody is. He had, as my understanding is, he had a news conference this morning to talk about the steps they’re taking there. I think that’s taken some of the pressure off and hopefully get a more constructive relationship. The other side of that is these local governments have got to work with folks and with federal law enforcement officials. You can’t just, you know, try and encourage all these protests and fight against what’s trying to be accomplished here, which is to get criminals off the streets and make the community safer.”
