MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell spoke with NBC News’s Homeland Security correspondent Julia Ainsley from El Paso, Texas on Tuesday, who reported on the growing crisis at the southern border.

The report began with a discussion of Supreme Court Justice John Roberts issuing a temporary hold on Title 42 expiring yesterday – keeping the pandemic-era policy allowing for quick deportations in place while the court weighs an appeal from GOP-led states.

Ainsley noted that the decision and ongoing debate surrounding Title 42’s future has created “a lot of uncertainty” in places like El Paso.
