Tom Elliott: My Epstein Files Treatise

Enough of this

If we choose to look, we can all see how they operate. It's slimy & it's gross & it's depraved & unfortunately the deeper you go, the worse it gets. And it's not just a Democrat issue, or a Republican issue, but a worldwide contagion afflicting the highest levels of society: Hollywood & entertainment, media, science, Big Tech, international organizations, the military, maybe even Bitcoin. Suffice it to say: A lot of the most "elite" of the "elite" seem to share a common interest in corruption & degenerate behavior. And the higher you go, the seemingly worse it gets. This unfortunately also explains why we're presently being told to move onto the next story like nothing's happened -- tune into tonight's primetime crime drama with Savannah Guthrie! -- as the investigators appear to sometimes be themselves co-conspirators.

When you read -- to take one of countless examples -- about Epstein offering Prince Andrew a menu of girls he can choose from for an upcoming trip to NYC, you're reminded that these are not actually normal people.

And it's not a surprise. If you're on the receiving end of successive generations of entitlement, effectively unlimited wealth & unaccountability, it's perfectly predictable you may end up indulging your most base impulses.

And when you read multiple reports from Manhattan Correctional Center staff about startling irregularities the night of Epstein's "suicide" -- like a possible prisoner swap, the FBI knowingly destroying hard drives, a fake body being used to confuse the media, and the feds' continued obfuscation up to this very moment, on top of everything else we already knew about sleeping guards and broken surveillance cameras -- it's enough for us to at least consider the possibility that maybe they don't plan to ever tell us the truth.

But ultimately it's on us. We're the ones continuing to prop it all up.

And one clear benefit of our hyperconnected era is that is that it's so much easier for us to see how they operate. The dishonesty and outright criminality are practically surface level. But still they don't care. They just keep doing the same thing like nothing's wrong. Just a continuous consolidation of power that shows no signs of stopping.

Historically, only revolution can resolve a power disequilibrium so vast. And I personally oppose revolution -- mostly because a majority of us have been programmed to believe we should replace one disgraced ruling class with a new ruling class, yet to be disgraced. The only actual logical reason to have a revolution is if you're planning to keep the power for yourselves.

And that's the positive thing I hope comes out of the Epstein files: That individuals use this information to realize the stupidity of outsourcing our power to these corrupt institutions. With a bit of luck, people will redirect their faith, and their energy, to God, to themselves, and to their families. Maybe even the local community. But the important point is that we should all see ourselves as morally justified in exiting the system anytime we please.

What I hope to see ultimately is people simply investing in themselves. Becoming stronger and more self reliant. Radiating coherence and optimism into the world around us. The rest will work itself out almost by default.

And as long as I've gone this long, I would like to re-emphasize my opposition to any kind of violent upheaval.

I was listening to a recent interview on

@Alec_Zeck

's excellent podcast about MLK, where

@chadojackson

explained how communists 100 years ago knew there'd never be a Bolshevik revolution in the United States, so instead they created the Fabian society, which effectively arranged for a gradual usurpation of our institutions (including religious movements, such as MLK's Progressive National Baptist Convention ...) upon which these institutions would internally gradually be shifted toward affecting larger communist social objectives, primarily through provoked conflict between "classes" (first economic, but later racial and now sexual). Unfortunately, the Fabians' longterm strategizing worked out perfectly.

What I'm suggesting is that we merely begin a gradual usurpation of power back into our own column. Incremental moves toward greater familial autonomy & self determination. No longer allowing ourselves to be programmed to work for them instead of for ourselves.

How might it happen? Well, it must begin by returning to the spirit and original intent of the Constitution, which the Founders conceived after carefully considering why previous attempts to create a republic always failed. Amazingly, they tried to put into place the safeguards -- read the 10th amendment -- precisely to protect us from what is happening today, 250 years later. Maximally decentralizing power should be the overarching theme.

Even as AI remains a hotly contested topic, I believe we must take advantage of every tool at our disposal, and AI is one of the most powerful tools of all. Using it for research purposes, as I've been obsessively doing for the last two weeks, helps you separate fact and fiction far faster than ever before; when used with good intentions, AI can be an incredible force multiplier. And that brings me to the next point.

Who will make it happen? Well, of course I can't write an Epstein post this long without offering my appreciation for leaders like

@RepThomasMassie

, who heroically took on the entire D.C. power establishment to spill their beans. And -- apologies for mishmashing metaphors -- we all know how cleaning out a hornet's nest isn't without its risks. As the unfairly underappreciated former Treasury Secretary William Simon used to say, "Our principles have never failed us, it is we who have failed to live up to our principles."

Because ultimately, it's you, the person reading this, who is going to start this process of defending our principles and reclaiming our power. All of us need to work on an individual level, getting stronger, getting braver, building up our resources, harnessing our own integrity, retrieving our spiritual compass so that we move into the future visualizing the world we actually want to live in.

When I talk about the Epstein story with people around me, everyone tells me, "This is just the way the world is." And that's true, it is. But that doesn't mean it has to be a permanent condition. The world will quickly become a healthier and happier place the moment we stop empowering the worst people among us.

Eventually, we may need to even lose some federal agencies, perhaps all of them, and probably also the international orgs, the NGOs, and all the rest of it ... control-alt-deleting our whole perspective on the power structures surrounding us; we might need to shift commerce from the dollar back toward barter, precious metals, whatever the market likes best ... We may even need to think about reforming religious institutions. We all know there is so much to be fixed in this world.

I pray the upside of this Epstein mess is that lights a fire under our ass to finally get started.
