Trump on Climate Change, Wildfires: ‘I Want Great Climate,’ We’re Going to Have ‘Safe Forests’

‘We can’t just go through this every year’

RUSH EXCERPT:

REPORTER: "Mr. President, do you see any role of climate change in these fires?"
TRUMP: "You have seem to have a lot of factors: I think you have the management factor that Jerry has really been up on very well, and we’re going to be looking at it together. Right now that seems to be a big problem and you’re going to get that problem solved in the farm bill. We’re going to put about $500 million in the farm bill, and really managing $500 million. But we have a new category, and that is management and maintenance of the forest. It is very important. I want to thank you folks over there, law enforcement, great job."
REPORTER: "Does the devastation change your opinion on climate change?"
TRUMP: "No, I have a strong opinion and we’re going to have great climate, forests that are very safe. We can’t just go through this every year. We will have safe forests that is happening as we speak."
