NY lawmakers pass budget extender as negotiations for key Hochul proposals remain at a ‘standstill’

The Governor’s budget director, Blake Washington, promised Monday afternoon that Hochul "can’t compromise” on her discovery and involuntary commitment proposals signaling that she’s willing to hold up the budget “as long as it takes to deliver.”
