US Naval Academy freshman attempt annual greased climb ritual

Dozens of US Naval Academy freshmen, known as plebes, will attempt to scale a 21-foot tall granite obelisk coated in lard, a school tradition dating back to the 1950s. The slippery feats of strength are set to begin on May 14.
