Jelly Roll: Any U.S. President Should Be Able to Handle Jokes, Gas Prices, Health Care and the Occasional Int’l Conflict

‘Some folks online were upset that I didn’t treat the president with reverence and dignity’

EXCERPT:

JELLY ROLL: “Some folks online were upset that I didn’t treat the president with reverence and dignity. But I want to remind you, I go by the name Jelly Roll. [Laughter] I don’t even treat myself with reverence and dignity.
[Laughter] One day I looked in the mirror and said, “You, my friend, are a pastry.”
[Laughter] Frankly, I think most people were just surprised I have any opinions at all.
[Laughter] They see a guy who looks like me and assume my only opinion is whether I prefer my meth crystal or classic.
[Laughter]
[Cheers and applause] Let’s be honest for a second. Any U.S. president should be able to handle a few jokes, right?
[Audience: yes] He should also be able to handle gas prices, health care, and the occasional international conflict.
[Cheers and applause] But beggars can’t be choosers. Look, I get that some people are mad at me for goofing on Trump. But if you wanted me to make jokes about Kamala Harris, you should’ve voted for her.”
